Collecting Wisdom: A New Personal Finance Curation Site

3 min read

I’m excited to announce that my newest site, Collecting Wisdom, is now live! It is a site where anyone can submit personal finance articles, users vote on their favorites, and the most popular articles rise to the top.

Why I Made This Site

I made this site because I wanted a platform where anyone could submit a personal finance article and where a community of readers could vote on their favorites. I’m always on the hunt for new articles to read and having a platform where a community can share and vote on their favorite articles is one of the best ways to find new articles quickly.

How It Works

To be able to vote on your favorite articles or submit an article, you need to make an account, which is completely free and takes about 15 seconds to create.

Simply click Login in the top right corner:

A Login/Sign Up box pops up. Click Register.

Pick a Username, Password, and Email. Then click Register in the bottom right corner.

Boom. Now you have an account.

To submit an article, simply click Submit in the top right corner and fill out the article title, description, and link in the window that pops up. You can either submit one of your own articles or someone else’s. If you submit your own article, click the box that says “I created this.” Then click Submit:

The Most Popular Articles Rise to the Top

Readers can click the “up” arrow next to an article title if they enjoy it. There is no option to down-vote an article. The site then uses an algorithm that automatically pushes the most popular articles to the top based on the number of upvotes and how recently the article was submitted.

Join Today!

I’m excited to grow this site and community over time. I think it will become an awesome resource for anyone who enjoys reading, writing, and sharing personal finance articles. I’m excited to watch the site turn into a one-stop shop for all the latest and greatest personal finance articles on the web. So, feel free to head on over to Collecting Wisdom today, set up your free account, and start submitting and voting!

Technical note: Collecting Wisdom is desktop, mobile, and tablet friendly, so feel free to browse the site on any device.

My favorite free financial tool I’ve been using since 2015 to manage my net worth is Personal Capital. Each month I use their free Investment Checkup tool and Retirement Planner to track my investments and ensure that I’m on the fast track to financial freedom.

  1. Hey Zach,
Great initiative. It is great to have so many fantastic resources at one place.
I have a feedback , I had logged in ( set up password etc ) on my mobile, by the time I sat on my laptop to access the website I had forgotten my password.
I tried resetting the password, but the link which came in the email, does not work.
It opens up a page, which says that “Access Denied/Restricted”
You might want to check up on that.

  2. hahaha.. Man I am SO happy to have stumbled upon this today! Just last night I was thinking of doing something almost identical to this. So why am I happy that you beat me to it? I guess it just means my mind is working similar to yours, and man oh man does your mind work in a fascinating fashion. Congrats on the new website! I will be submitting my posts.
