Sunday is for Sharing is a weekly roundup of my favorite articles, videos, and podcasts I read, viewed, and listened to over the past week.
This week features a house made of shipping containers, an article on the life-changing effects of minimalism, and much more. Enjoy!

My Favorite Articles
via The A&J Muse
“By not being obsessed with ‘things’ and accumulating more items, I’m able to find the joy in my everyday life and live more in the present.”
via Need 2 Save
“I’m just not motivated to keep climbing the corporate ladder. I’m more interested in all the things I want to do once we leave the 9-to-5 world.”
via The Frugal Gene
“The world wide web didn’t exist 200 years ago so an individual’s reach was much smaller…I mean there was keeping up with the Joneses but now there’s keeping up with the Joneses, Smiths, Chongs, Cabrillos, Lars and 400 more of whoever else on your timeline stream.”
“Start something new. Today, this week, this month. Just start it. Stick with it. Laugh through the beginner mistakes. Look at what you can actually achieve when you just do it and ignore the messages your brain sends you.”
“If the median age in America is about 34 years old, this means the median American only has $480 in retirement savings!”
My Favorite Podcast
An interview with Rolf Potts, world traveler and author of the book Vagabonding. I particularly like the advice Rolf gives about traveling – so many of us literally travel to places just to take pictures and document our trip for social media. Travel is far more interesting without technology and it forces us to be more spontaneous and immersive in the local culture. This podcast is broken into two parts – you can download both parts in the link above.
As a side note, most Tim Ferriss podcasts are around 1 to 2 hours long, so they’re ideal if you have a long commute to work. I usually listen to half of a podcast on my way to work in the morning and finish it on my commute home.
That’s all for this week, thanks for reading 🙂
